What is Mizuhiki??
みずひき、ってなに?
Mizuhiki みずひき
is a decorative cord made from Japanese washi paper, tightly wound and wrapped in silk or rayon (artificial silk). This ancient Japanese art form has a history of more than 1,000 years.
The name Mizuhiki comes from the process of stretching paper cords while alternating layers of water and glue.
In Japanese culture, water is believed to purify and refresh.
That is why Mizuhiki is often used for gift wrapping and decorations
—to express respect, appreciation, gratitude, hospitality, and love for others.
Mizuhiki reflects Japan’s unique spiritual culture of care, thoughtfulness, and the joy of giving.

MUSUBI - 結 -
In Japanese, musubi means more than simply tying of a knot.
It is the gentle weaving of hearts, the invisible thread that connects one soul to another.
Through Mizuhiki, this spirit takes form
—an expression of gratitude , of tenderness, of "ARIGATOU ありがとう" whispered to those you hold dear.
And at times, it is also a gift to oneself;) a reminder that every bond begins with the heart.
